Spanish Fort is a beautiful area that sits on a bluff overlooking the Mobile Bay.  The placement on the bluff allows you to take in fabulous sunsets as well as a great views of the native woods - rich with Civil War History!   Originally, a French trading post, the Spanish built a fort at the site of modern-day Spanish Fort in 1780- hence the name Spanish Fort.  

 A new attraction for Spanish Fort is the Eastern Shore Shopping Centre.  A new and unique outside shopping mall features large name stores as well as a variety of specialty stores.  You will also find an abundance of dining choices and stroll through delightfully landscaped streets to meet friends and family for an open-air musical performance at the community courtyard, browse the shops for the latest fashions or relax in the community courtyard and enjoy the dancing water fountain.
